Our Story

in 2021, the 'stop asian hate' movement had spread and reached many people. allison, the founder, wanted to help by donating money but she found that she could not do it on her own. on february 10th at around 2am, while she was trying to sleep, allison thought about how to help the people in need. after some thinking, she decided to make a non-profit, something her school friends had done before. but, she found that she needed a way to earn money. she wasn’t the best at tutoring nor was she confident in making art, so she leaned toward her main hobby, editing. allison thought of the editors and editing groups that began selling their resources to donate to charities and decided she could also do something similar. so many thoughts crowded allison’s head on how to make this work, but she was too tired to figure everything out. so, she decided to come up with the title before falling asleep and thought of the perfect name, 'editors for a better world'.
